Description

A brine shrimp incubator is a device used to hatch and raise brine shrimp (Artemia salina), a type of small crustacean commonly used as food for aquarium fish, particularly larvae and juvenile fish.

Here's a brief overview of brine shrimp incubators:

*Components:*

1. A container or vessel to hold the brine shrimp eggs and water
2. Aeration system to provide oxygen and circulation (air pump not included)
3. Airline piping

4. Non return valve

*How it works:*

1. Brine shrimp eggs are added to the incubator, along with water and aeration. Use filtered drinking water
2. The incubator provides a controlled environment, Use 11g coarse salt. The unit can be placed in the aquarium during winter to maintain temperature of 25 to 30c.
3. The aeration system circulates the water, providing oxygen and preventing the eggs from settling.
4. After 24-48 hours, the eggs hatch into nauplii, which are then harvested and used as food for aquarium fish.

We recommend using the Swazi Brine Shrimp Eggs for reliable results.
