Royal Whiptail / Twig Catfish

Description

The Royal Whiptail is amongst the most beautiful of the Sturisoma family. The can grow quite long but remain slender. They are also known as the twig catfish. The tail fins will also grow long streamers.

There must be real wood inside the aquarium as it forms part of their diet. We recommend Sera Catfish food in combination with a high quality algae wafer.

They are also relatively shrimp safe despite their size.

Mature pairs are easily bred in the home aquarium.

Compatibility all community fish and even shrimp

Please acclimate all livestock correctly.

1. Float bag in tank.

2. Open bag and roll bag back on itself so it remains floating.

3. Add half a cup of aquarium water to the bag every 5 minutes.

4. Repeat step 4 times before releasing the livestock.
