The roots of Aqua Empire go back to 2007 when the owner Richard Barnfield started Interpet a general Pet Store in Clearwater Mall. He Rapidly Expanded the business to Cresta and Key West shopping Malls but he soon realised that his heart lay with the Aquarium side of the business.

Then Came Aqua Empire in 2016. Starting as wholesale but rapidly moving back into the retail space as he missed his customers.

Since then Aqua Empire has grown to servicing the country with innovative new products and importing the widest range of aquarium fish in the business.
